I always wanted one of these but never had enough money to spare. But now that I'm making more money I figured I'd put one on lay-away.
Anyway I choose a brand new High Standard HSA-15 16" bbl Carbine. These HS ARs just came out this year so I can't find decent feedback on them yet. Anybody here have any experience with these?
Anyway, this AR really appealed to me. The thing that I liked about it was:
- Its a new brand AR so it has a very low serial #, 00773. (Strangely enough my SAR-1's is 50773.)
- Its magazine well markings are simple and more military-like. It doesn't have a huge (ugly in my opinion) colt, rock river, or bushy billboard on it.
High Standard
Mfg Co Inc
Model HSA-15
5.56 NATO
00773
- And for $799 it was among the cheapest ARs that wasn't used.
There was a $600 Rock River 16" but it had a M16 stock instead of the tele-stock and didn't look as nice.
Anyway I figured I'd broadcast my joy and happiness to this forum
