After much hemming and hawing about whether to buy or build, I decided on bulding my own AR. But then a deal I just couldn't pass up dropped into my lap. So here's my "new" very gently used (less than 1000 rounds fired through it) used AR-15!

Rock River Arms LAR-15 (5.56 NATO not .223 Remington)
16" Heavy Barrel
CAA CB516 Adjustable Stock
Single-point sling
EOTech L3 557 Red-Dot
EOTech L3 3x.FTS magnifiying scope (on flip to side mount)
Also have the iron sights (fixed front post and removable/adjustable rear) that I can mount in place of the optics.
6 all-metal 30 round GI-surplus mags.
cost: $1200

(Yes, I blured the SN# for privacy)

Looks like you got a great deal in a nice AR! I've had an AR of some sort or another since 1979, and I can't imagine why every shooter doesn't have one, or two. Now get to the range and shoot that thing! :)

Pretty cool rig I have a RRA upper on a another lower with the NM trigger 1:8 twist and with 55gr thru 69gr over some Varget and you;ve got it goin on. Easy 300 yds I have an old Redfield 7X. You'll love that RRA I havent tried any 77gr usually 1:7 twist when you get that long. Go shoot that thing and let us know.

That single point sling adapter for ARs might not be so spiffy for the lever action about which the OP posted. ;)
