THR Phoenix shoot

Hey Len - you got that info on the Rio Salado range?

Lots of fun. That .223 Savage sure was fun for taking pot shots at 500 yards. After shooting all those cool guns, I think I need to hit the Powerball ('course buying a ticket might help, though you're talking about 8 or 9 decimal places before the odds change).

Sumpnz: here's the link for the Rio Salado Sportsman's Club

LennyJoe: I highly recommend the Savage. It's not as visually pleasing as a pre-64 model 70, but pretty is as pretty does. Plus....when you finally burn out the barrel you can order a new one for $99 from Midway and install it in your garage. :D

Thanks again to everyone who showed up!

Okay, guys -- better late than never, right?

Here is the range we shot at:

1911Ron showing us how it's done -- note that the case is just barely extracted at that point... pretty cool pic. :D

1911Ron right after a shot -- look how quickly back on target he is! Being a 9mm shooter, that amazes me. :)

And 1911Ron is finally empty:

Yes, still more to come.

Okay, this is the last batch:

Again, thanks very much guys. I appreciate the hospitality, especially from Len. It's weird to see snow on the ground again. :scrutiny:

Good on ya Wes!! :) ... great set of pics, thx. Did notice - the one of the boy shooting the Gov't ... two were same ... one was marked as recoil ... the one preceeding I guess was similar but less obvious. No biggie. Great set of pics.

That is one mega nice range ... great place.

So snow eh - that means back in the cool of UT once more!! Oh well ... Spring is in sight - almost! Hang in there.

LOL... yes, I did notice that after I posted it. I almost edited the post, but decided that it wasn't really worth the effort. Just one of those goofball moments. ;)

I actually went and found a flash for my camera this morning at Inkleys. I don't know just how well it works yet, but it works, and seems like a decent piece of equipment.

It's amazing how advanced photography stuff is getting now... They had a 6-pack of 400 ASA film for 6.99. Methinks it won't be long until I'm practically forced to go digital. I guess I'm just old-fashioned like that, though. :)

I can't believe I missed this one. No wonder we couldn't find Wes on our last Utah Redneck Shooters Assoc. outing. He was out preaching to and converting other rednecks in neighboring states. ;) AMEN Brother Fumegator.

Wes, I trust they were all initiated properly??? Now do we have the Arizona Redneck Shooters Assoc? -or is it the Redneck Shooters Assoc., Arizona Chapter?

In any case, don't be offended by the being called a fine bunch of rednecks......... That is one of the highest compliments a shooter can attain.

Great pictures. Looks like a nice place to shoot. Thanks for sharing.

We called it "Adapt a Highroader" down here in Arizona.

Its a new program created to ensure THR members get trigger time when displaced to different locations outside of their home range. :D
