Hmmmm......looks like it's time to bring you guys up to the next level.

"Hi...my name is Len, and I'm a shoot-a-holic."

A typical one day range trip for me and the kids involves a minimum of 10 firearms and 2000+ rounds of ammo. Denfoote was sitting next to me the last time I practiced with my carry gun.....I went through 200 rounds of .45acp in one 20 minute shooting period. :D

I was planning on bringing 15-20 guns and 5000+ rounds of ammo.......if that's ok with everybody else. :uhoh:

Works for me.

I just put a Taurus 24/7 .45ACP on layaway but wont be able to get it before the shoot. Money wont be here till the end of the month. Its killing me too cause I wanted denfoote to try it out and see if it was better than that POS Millenium he had.

Looks I may just be able to make it this weekend, unless my wife decides I need to spend Saturday in Tucson. The house will be offically sold on Friday. That does not appear like it will be the case, but you never know.

If I am able to come, I'll bring Miss Kaysa (my Swede mauser), along with my CZ 550 (also in 6.5x55), and my Turk Mauser. Both mil-surps are now adorned with Mojo's. Plus my .40 Ruger, and of course the Winchester 190 (.22lr). I'll bring whatever ammo I have, though it won't much. A brick of .22lr, my handloads for the centerfire rifles (~80 each 6.5mm and 8mm), and about 80 rounds of .40 hardball.

I'll also see if my Greek friends can make it. Don't know their schedule at the moment though.

Erm... about $40 each way...

Yeah, sucks... but it sure is fun to drive!

I paid off the layaways on the p22 and the p3at already, got to take the KelTec home. Man this thing is tiny!! The extractor and the slide's recoil spring housing both come out of their slots when field stripped... is this normal? The p22 can't leave their shop until Saturday.

I think the next item on my "to buy" list is one of these guys http://www.eaacorp.com/firearms/pistols/witnesspoly/witnesspcarrye.shtml , but ported like this one http://gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=28189768 -- and after that a KelTec sub2000.

Yes, the ejector and recoil spring housing will come out after the slide is removed.

Funny you should mention that. I lost the ejector when I field stripped the Kel-Tec at a range in San Antonio. The gun will still function without it no problem. Kel-Tec sent me one free of charge. You can find extra mags at the gunshow for it as well. I carry it in a cheap Uncle Mikes pocket holster and it works fine.

I'll see your Kimber and raise you two Springfields :D
I convinced my wife and two boys (well didn't have to convince the boys) to come and shoot with us, is that cool or what :D Oh by the way i just snagged a whole bunch of silouette targets and was wondering if we could use them

If I was going, I would raise you a Springer, Kimber, Para Ordnance, and Charles Daly! :D

Have fun guys, be sure to take pictures so I can feel like I am there!

Houston, we have a problem.

A small one, at least. When I volunteered to open the range, our range calendar showed that Sunday the 30th was open. I found out today that the 4H club had scheduled the range for Sunday afternoon and the calendar hadn't been updated.

So.....we can still go, but we have to be out by noon or 12:30. Start earlier, shoot all morning and then have lunch in Buckeye?

If everybody wants to shoot all day we could move the event to Ben Avery or out into the desert, but I don't know any good desert shooting spots on that side of town.

Input needed..............

Getting up in the middle of the night!!

Yeah!! I'll be there at 0900!!
You may have to pump me up with a coffee IV, but I'll be there!!!
How does Sonic sound??
It's either that or Pizza Hut!!
We do have a couple of nice Mexican resturants here in town.
The better one is on the post office side of town!! ;)

Hey denfoote, give me some good directions to the Sportsmans warehouse off of Dysart.

BTW, the Taurus 24/7 will be making the trip this weekend :D

I'm not denfoote but i can help, go west on I-10 to Dysart rd turn right(go north) you will see a Lowes on the left the Sportsmans wherehouse is on the west side of the Lowes.

Got it.

Hopefully the drag races wont get washed out Saturday. If they do then I'll probably go waste time at the Sportsmans warehouse.

Too bad J&G is so far away. I wouldnt mind picking up a Mak and maybe an AK.

Looks like I can make it this Sunday. Not sure about my friends yet. I need to call them.

Lenny - It's just another hour and a half to J&G. When I was going to Embry-Riddle up there, I'd drive to Tucson occasionally to visit a cousin. Usually only took 3.25 hours from my appartment (only a few minutes from J&G) to Campbell and Skyline.

Hey guys, guess what I just found? :cuss: :banghead: (answer: this computer)

That's right next door (well, almost) to where I'm staying! If you have some time to kill, look me up. I'm at the Wingate Inn & Suites. Just ask the desk for Wes at room 309. ;)

I'm excited about this!
Wes

Just got back from the shoot. Sure was fun. Hope to see y'all again before too much time goes by.

Len - You've got kids to be proud of. Thanks again for opening up the range.
