Be suspicious of any post where the author claims that he is a Sergeant of a three-man Rapid Tactical Force at one of America's largest indoor retail shopping areas especially if they also claim to be a master of three martial arts including ninjitsu.

I want a (nother) Glock.....
I don't have a Model 23......I am also a wise acre and will not pass up an opportunity to make fun at something to create humor. I realize there are some folks out there that have no humor and the world is a very serious place, like my Dad, who are offended if someone makes joke with them. For them I feel sorry as life is too short. They are the ones that will get upset when I laugh at their poor target, only ones I know except for the Dallas cops, shot 70 times at a guy and only hit him three times and he lived. I have learned tons of information on these forums and hope I learn more and have fun doing it....chris3

I have no problem with that,as a matter of fact I enjoy and encourage it .
I just don't like it when it complicates someones decision on a serious subject.
I think some people rely on these forums for serious advice as oposed to serious opinions.
I may be wrong but it would be a shame if ever someone steered another (naive or uninformed) gunowner in the wrong direction for the sake of being humorous.
Not VERY probable but a possibility.

Another law: Whenever someone asks for opinions on which gun to buy in X calber, within five posts someone will spout off with some nonsense about X caliber being utterly worthless. They will also question the sanity, intelligence, species and legitimacy of the person asking the question, and anyone who would dare use X caliber. This will conclude with the recommendation (or command) to buy a gun that shoots Y caliber.

I asked this same question a few months back on TFL after I inquired about the slipping quality of a production custom gun maker and was promptly called a fool becuase it bothered me that I had 5 or 6 "get a Glock" answers and only 1, yes, 1 answer about the percieved slip in quality at that gun maker.
One thing is certain, If you mock the Glocksters you will be called on the carpet about it.
All I can say is "get a Glock" if you want what some schmuck thinks is the best gun for you.
I personally would ask about quality, I would ask about resale value but I would never ask this or any other forum what they think I should spend my money on. YMMV.

Tamara perhaps you could re read my post and understand that I was not the initiator of the attack but I was on the recieving end of the sh#&storm for daring to get out of Glockstep with the forum glockophites.
You in fact tried to inform me that some Glock owners had to save up money to buy those guns and that I should expect a reaction for not understanding. I never got a response from you about my saving up three times as long to get that production custom gun.
I guess people that save longer for a gun should be more patient with thread hijackers too.
