So, as I was walking into work today I saw a friend of mine (she is also a new shooter) with her boss outside and stopped to confirm our plans to go to the range tomorrow. The boss man has been shooting "for years", but I'm not sure what that actually translates to. My friend proceeds to tell him how I'm a "really good shot" (this is not the true, I'm not even a somewhat good shot, but my targets were better than hers the last time we went to the range), and I replied with "Watch out Mike, I'll be out-shooting you before you know it." He asked if I was throwing down the gauntlet for a challenge, and while normally I am up for a challenge, I laughed it off and said I have to get to work.
About a half hour later my friend and I get the following e-mail from her boss:

I’m throwing one. Here’s the deal. I’ll join you for any range trip you two make after the holidays are over, and make you a deal:
I’ll shoot against you both, as a team, in any kind of friendly match you design (built to your strengths) – AND I’ll shoot YOUR guns myself – whatever you shoot best, I’ll have to shoot myself better to beat you. Just for showing up, I’ll bring the toy below and let you shoot it all you want. If EITHER of you outshoots me in the contest, I pay for one 30-round magazine full of ammo for EACH of you. If I win, you still shoot the toy all you want, but buy all your own ammo instead of everything after the first mag.
I haven’t shot a gun for anything but test firing in three years. And I’m old. Surely one of you can get some free bullets out of this…..
My reply was "I'll take that deal. Even if we lose it will be fun!", and my friend's reply was "Okay, but I just want to know what that thing is..." I'm fairly certain we don't have any strengths that could be considered a competitive advantage, but I will be sure to wear a top with a deep v-neck.
Thought some of you guys might get a kick out of this challenge. I know he's going to clean the floor with us, but it will be fun.
