The stock is the same, just with a textured finish paint job which provides a better grip and some other color options. The stock is probably the best factory synthetic you'll find.
I can't help with metal finish.
In theory the fluted barrel and bolt should mean a lighter rifle. But if you believe the specs they are actually a bit heavier than the standard rifle. Perhaps the muzzle break adds weight that offsets the fluting.
I don't know what the street prices are on this rifle, but I paid $600 for my blue 308 and $500 for the 6.5 CM. The 6.5 was technically a used rifle, but it still had the factory hang tags and had never been scoped. Still had the plastic plugs in the scope mounting holes. They typically sell for about $750 in SS. I'm not interested in the muzzle break. I can buy textured paint at Home Depot for under $10 a can.
