What are the differances? I see the stock and pic. rail.. is the reciever milled with the pic rail or is it bolt on.. Any other differances?

You only waited 9 hrs before posting again to get a reply?
Patience my friend....patience...

The Super Varmint has the adjustable stock and picatinny rail found on the tactical model.
Otherwise it is the same as the Varmint...or you could say it was the same as a Tactical minus the finish and with a longer barrel.

Google is a wonderful thing...

Super Varmint has a longer, thicker barrel with faster twist rates. Also additonal calibers. From what little I know. It is the longer barrelled, non-ramboized T-3 Tactical.

thanks for the reply but loose the smart ass tone.. A Forum is for asking questions.. If it bugs you so much to answer then don't..:D

I have the tikka stuff downloaded.. And it does not go into great detail.. And I have done some looking around but have not found anybody talking to much about them as far as differance other than what I already stated i knew.. so boy oh boy, It is a bad thing to go to a gun sight and ask a gun question..Geesh lol

I definately don't mind answering questions.
That's what the forums are for.

I was just poking at your eagerness.

I forgot to mention, the rails are bolt on.

So to sumarize:
-Super Varmint is basically the same as the Varmint but with the adjustable stock and picatinny rail found on the Tactical.
-The rail is screwed on and the reciever is still milled for the regular Tikka rings.
-The Super Varmint has the standard blued or stainless finish vs the parkerized finish of the Tactical and the Super Varmint's muzzle isn't threaded like the Tactical.

Tikkas are great guns. I have a T3 Lite in 308 and wouldn't trade it for any Remington 700...

Personally if I were looking at the T3 Super Varmint or Varmint I'd probably spend the extra $50-60 and get the Super.
The regular T3 rings work okay, but a picatinny rail would be much much better. Since a one piece mount for a T3 would cost $40-50 then you might as well get the picatinny and adjustable stock for a couple more bucks.
You'll be happy if you end up buying a T3.

Pat4x4 please note I do not have a smart ass tone.
Just a pointer you wont last long on the forum with a chip on the shoulder like that.
Someone is likely to shoot it off.

if you look above the comment was not intended for you.. re read all posts in this thread.. And I have no chip.. Just asking a question.. all is good to if you see with our last responces.. Oh yea, I shoot back :D
