Time AW poll

Virginia just passed a state wide smoking ban.. Virginia.. tobacco state passing a smoking ban for bars.. Hell is freezing over, I think.

But we all know the quesiton is slanted, at best. "Assault weapons" is just a word they use to scare people. No half-way educated gun owner is under the impression that a person can walk into a gunshop and pick up an M-16/M-4, AK-47 or any other kind of full auto but that's what they keep telling people..

So when someone hears, "Ban Assault Weapons", they think, "well why does anyone need one of those?? Of course they should ban assault weapons!!"

A battle of mis-information, plain and simple.

It is actually quite close for California. 51% Yes, 49% No.:uhoh:

Whose the one vote from Wyoming for gun control?

I wish Colorado had been the color red back in November.:(

That friggin poll question is posed for us to loose badly, of course. Kind of like "How badly did you beat your wife lately?"

Frankly I am surprised that Vermont is HEAVILY in favor of an AWB... I mean jeez, just move 10 miles East and you have it.

Why do Libs or whatever you want to call them move into an area and then try to turn it just like home???

There is only like 4500 votes.... hardly enough to say what even one state, much less the whole country, is thinking....

I do agree that it is worded poorly, and should have a "no priority" option.

Do you realize that they use polls (scientific polls) with LESS people and then publish them and that is apparently what the whole country is thinking??? Sometimes I think that they use the polls to TELL people what to think or make them feel as if they shouldn't protest or try because they are solidly in the minority.

If we loose, that will be one more stick on the fire, if we win then it will be put under the table and forgotten and run again later. That is activism.

Cant believe UT is so weak when it comes to this. The leftists have certainly infiltrated us. UT is barely ahead 52/48. Thanks to the socialists that have infested the greater Salt Lake area, we are barely holding on by a thread.

Its funny how they made the "no" states red and the "yes" states blue. I bet the moderate Dems are pissed that their party has insinuated the anti gun values to its core.

...

Look at the total number of votes per state. There is only a one vote split in Montana - 5 for a new AWB right now, and 3 against. Change one vote and it's a tie.

I can't believe the count for Montana. California doesn't surprise me. New England states are no surprise at all.

I feel compelled to point out that this poll uses a non-persistent session cookie to track whether a person has voted or not. This means that anyone who closes all their browsers after voting and then goes back in again is presented with the base poll again, as if they'd never voted.

Just sayin'...... :scrutiny:

Whoa!!

How well things have changed in two hours. Winning across the board now.

The map is almost entirely red now, with the exception of Montana.
Where are our members from Montana?

The next poll should ask...

"How accurate was our previous AWB poll?

A. Pretty Accurate

B. Very Accurate"

Thank you, Times.

New York I can see voting overall "yes" - but what's up with montana and vermont? Of all the states, I would have least expected respondents from there to vote "yes".
