Who's a lefty, who's a righty, who is ambi? Please only post ambi if you can shoot with either hand with the same accuracy and control.

I picked righty since this is in the handgun forum.

Long guns I'm a true ambi. But prefer the left hand for most purposes.

I'm crossedup in the eye dominance catagory.:banghead:

Learned to shoot w/ either when I had an injury to my right elbow. Now, I shoot righty most of the time because that is what I'm most use to.

I'm a righty, but sometimes I'll shoot with my left hand only. I think its a good idea to do that every now and then, because one day you might find yourself in a situation were your right arm gets shot or something and the only way you can fight back is to shoot left handed...

Right handed but Cross dominant - left eyed. Shoot all kinds of ways depending on the weapon and the range.
Handgun - usually right hand
Shotgun - usually left hand
M2 HB .50 Cal - Both hands:D

I'm an adapted lefty. There are a lot of things I still do with my left hand but most of the tasks involving my hands (I can read your dirty mind!) I do with my right. Last week I discovered that I'm a left handed archer!

Denfoote: Or I can spin my own conclusion ala media polls.

"A significant number of Lefties are shooters"

Shoot pistol left handed. I can shoot right handed for distances under 10 yards if I have to. I am accurate enough right handed for social purposes.

Shoot rifle right handed.

Go figure

I'm naturally left-handed (write and eat lefty) but I shoot right-handed; I just can't stand to be sent to the left-handed ghetto of the gun world, like some poor friends who constantly scour the net for "Portsider" 1911's and left-handed bolt-guns. :uhoh:

Tam, I'm left handed, and I don't see the need for a reversed 1911 (I do, of coruse, require an ambi safety). The only gun that has EVER spat brass in my face was the M16A1.

Bolt actions are slower to work, left handed, but if you're carrying a bolt gun fast shooting probably isn't what you're worried about anyhow.

Certain guns, like Kalashnikovs, seem made for lefties. Leverguns and pump shotguns are nice, too (as are any weapon where you'd be inclined to drop a round into the chamber).

Right handed.

I can to a certain degree do some things either hand or eyed - some better than others. Handguns( not ambi but my weaker is better than used to be, tools ( especially some small hand tools in a former life), stuff like that. Rifle and shotguns...nope gotta do it righty.

Right handed, left eyed.

OK for handgun shooting, but really messes me up with long arms.

For shooting purposes, I voted righty, 'cause, well, that's how I shoot.

Write lefty, eat lefty, bat and throw a baseball lefty. Throw a football, frisbee, etc righty. Kicking preference is with my right leg.

Right eye dominant.

A frickin' mess is what I am. :D
