Time to cull my ccw collection?

I believe in back up's but 15? In the end if you can afford all those fine weapons then I would keep them all. Once you have acquired they are much eaiser to keep.

Generally speaking, I think that it's always a bad idea to sell any gun you own, for whatever reason. Somewhere along the line, and sooner rather than later, you will regret it and perhaps even embark on a lifelong pursuit to get the gun back again.

Amen. It has been awhile, but I can tell you every gun I have ever sold, and I have repurchased some. Would have been MUCH cheaper to hang on to them. I traded a NAA Mini .22 for a scope, want it back, sold a 7.5 in Redhawk to buy a used washer & dryer when we first married, want it back, sold a Taurus PT99 to have cash to fix the car, bought a new one a few months later, sold a Ruger SP 101 to a buddy, he still has it & repeatedly rubs it in my face for letting it go for $250.00, traded a Taurus 85 CH for a Smith 340 SC; I could go on for the rest of this page. None of what I got for any of these trades was worth it. In the last 10 years I have purchased a lot, I have not sold or traded ANYTHING.

anybody else gone through such a phase? Any thoughts?

Yeah, me!:D

Stay with one platform, is my only word of advice. Its the same thing someone on here told me a few years ago. You actually discounted the very same platform I ended up going with, A 1911. I love the Ultra Carry series from Kimber. Officer frame that you can still get a full grip on, thin as any gun, for IWB comfort, 26oz, slightly heavier than the Glocks I used to carry. What ever you keep, practice alot with it, thats the most important thing;)

I finally made it down to the 3 category, my everyday is a Sig 232, when I can go bigger its a FNP-9 (same functional controls), and when both are too big out comes the LCP.

If your life is anything like mine you need several carry guns. 90% of the time the most I can conceal is a PM9. When weather and clothes allow I cart a Detective Special as I shoot it better. Winter time under heavier clothes a Springfield XD45. Hiking something with a longer reach.

I suggest that you keep them all and see what you haven't carried in a year. By then you will be wondering about whether 20 is too many

doctorxring, nice setup. I have tried that setup before (that holster), but it always bugs me when I sit down. Never liked it. Fine if standing up.
