To anyone thinking of a PARA

In my experience, if a company has a that bad of a specific unit, they usually ship a new one and destroy/try to fix the defective part.

I have a para GI expert. The gun runs flawlessly, but the parakote finish is utter crap. I'm going to have to send it in, but I'm hesitant to do so because i've heard poor things. I might just get it duracoat or cerakoat or whatever thats called.

Joshua, unfortunately you hear many of the same issues on the 1911 sites.

The 5" guns are much easier to make run but the smaller you get, the higher the quality needs to be.

eam3clm: jackpinesavages Im wondering if you have had problems with your para and what is the round count on yours.

I've lost track of round count-between 300 and 1000 maybe? No problems whatsoever, but I'm finicky with maintenance too. I have a lot of .45 pistols and shoot quite regularly until failures occur. Nothing wrong with my Para.
