i recently have gotten my cz, and i have only one pet peeve.
the shells flip up into my face. i do not limp wrist it, but it still likes to do it sometimes. i am left handed, and maybe i am just holding it wrong with my left hand.
any suggestions?

I suspect you are limp-wresting on occasion even though you are not aware of it.

The ejection port has to be pointed at your face from the muzzle flipping upward, or it wouldn't hit you in the face with empty brass.

Try a firm two-hand hold and see if it stops.
If it does, that right there would be a Clue.

shells flip up into my face.

One of my CZ and clones does that, I replaced the retractor spring and it work much better now. You can also modify the ejector shape to slant back to make the ejector hit the cases higher. I did that on my BHP and works.

The CZ ejector can be easily modified to fix your problem. Many do get a stronger extractor spring available from gunsprings.com or the CZ Custom shop.
75Bs aren't noted for muzzle flip problems, but hot loads or an improper grip could exagerate the problem.

These pics and much more are available at http://www.czforumsite.info/

My CZ-75 SP-01 does the same. The brass bounces off my hat and glasses. I have used only 115 gr. WWB and am going to try some hotter Sellier & Belliot 124 gr. I have heard that the CZ's like the more powerful ammo and perhaps it's not cycling the action hard enough.
Having said that, my CZ's have never failed to go bang or eject.

Guns: WWB should cycle well through your gun. My 75B started hitting me in he shirt pocket when I dropped down to a too low power factor (minor/light load), but at 124gr 132pf it cycles well (just a little faster).

WWB is hotter/faster than my load and it should eject well/mine does with 115 WWB. You can lighten the recoil spring with light loads and it will cycle faster/harder. 14# is stock weight on the 75B and I run 11# ($7)with light loads.

The modification to the ejector above is from 'eerw' on the CZ Forum and it changes the 'ANGLE' it throws the case. It's been effective for lot of people have the same complaint you and the op have.

I second 1SOW's experience except I was shooting 124gr, fairly hot loads and it was pinging me in the head everytime. The gun was pretty snappy.... its a phantom so lighter.

I switched to WWB 115gr and now the brass ejects between 3 and 4 o'clock. Accuracy is up as well.

A CZ75 has a low mounted slide - thus a low "bore axis" - and a great deal of weight. It should have no natural or inherent tendency toward excessive muzzle flip. Grip the gun as high as possible, with the "tang" at the top of the grip under the slide actually pressed down a little into the web of your hand, and see if things improve. Keep in mind that when you shoot a right-hand-ejection - as most are - pistol left handed, all cases are going to fly across your line of sight.

I am left handed, and that might have a great deal of a problem with it. I'll do some ammo change ups, some grip change ups, and see what my results are.
