The wife and I went to Wal-Mart last night. I decided to try my 1911 IWB at about 3 o'clock and my SP101 as a backup in the smartcarry rig. Well when we got home I started to get ready for bead and began to unload my pants. My wife said I was carrying to much stuff. I disaggreed. I told her that I would carry more but I only have so many pockets. :D So, I took a picture of what I had with me at wallyworld. You guys are with me right? Thats not too much.

I try to keep the load a little lighter than you've got there, but to each his own. If you feel better having that stuff then its not too much.

What...

No Rocket Launcher?

No RPG?

No Less-than-lethal device?

IMHO you still need a Asp (baton) and some type of Spray to really be complete, in addition to the rocket launcher... :neener:

WOW! :what:

Just where is that Wal-Mart located? I'll be sure to stay away from that high-crime area! :neener:

I'd say, given the list of things you've pictured:

1) ONE of the two guns. Your choice - they're both nice pieces! :D

2) ONE flashlight, and since you're not going to be walking very far in an unlit area, it could stay in the glove box.

3) ONE knife. My money is on the Kershaw. No need for the multi-tools, unless you want to throw one of them in the glove box with the flashlight.

All in all, way too much stuff there. If it were me carrying all that stuff, I think I'd have back/hip problems before age 40 (I'm 28 now).

But, as I've said before, "to each their own".

My wife said ...

Lemme get this straight.
You have a wife, a fondless for firearms and tools, and yet you still have cash?

:banghead: Thats it. I gotta put my wedding ring on the wrong hand 'cause I must have married the wrong woman!

:D

guess i'd say that is entirely too much, but i am not a fan of excessive weight or bulk in my pockets.

if it were me: i'd remove all 3 knives, flashlight, revolver, speedloader, change, and keys.

i'd leave the keys in the ignition, right where i always do so they don't get lost, leave a knife in the car and put the other 2 up, leave the flashlight in the car so i could find it, and lose the revolver, which would negate the need for the extra holster and speedloader.

i guess if you are really paranoid, you could add an extra mag for the 1911, but one should do ya.

i just carry a gun (sig 229 in 40), and my cellphone. everything else is too much.

I would go with the votes for too much. One gun ought to do it, unless you have a extremely high crime Wal-Mart. Same with the knives and flashlights.

That would be a bit much for me...

My kit:
  • Glock 26, no reload
  • Swiss Army knife
  • Keys
  • Phone
  • Wallet
  • Watch
  • Lighter

Whatever makes you happy. I personally feel that having that much wieght and bulk in your pockets will reduce the efectivenes of your ability to use any one item. What if you have to run or be in any way stealthy? You have enough jingling metal in your pocket to out sound BigBen! How do you even fit that much stuff in your pockets? Bottom line, your wife knows you best, I trust her judgment.

Um, why was the wristwatch in your pocket?? :D

I think if you're comfortable with what you carry, it really doesn't matter what your wife or anyone else thinks. Unless, of course, you're asking her or someone else to pack the stuff for you!

Officer Tackelberry to the white courtesy phone.

Officer Tackelberry to the white courtesy phone, please. :D

I generally agree on the concept of "to each their own," but since you asked,
I'd drop a gun (and corresponding accessories), a flashlight, two of the knives, and the lighter unless you smoke. Put the money in the wallet and the watch on you're wrist and you'd have less bulk in the pockets too.

THREE Lights?

You may carry more stuff than I do...

I usually carry the following (This is not a COMPLETE inventory, BTW)

Wallet
Keys
UtiliKey
ScrewZall
Photon Light
Photon UV Light
SOG paratool
Cold Steel 5" Tanto
Spyderco Worker
Mini Swiss Army knife (for the scissors & tweezers)
At least one pen
Coarse & Fine Diamond Sharpeners
Comb
Two NdFeB Magnets
Cigarette Lighter sometimes
PPK
Spare mag
Wenger Watch

And here I was thinking about adding another folding knive and something like a Kel-Tec P32. :D

Ditch the watch, especially if your cellphone tells the time.
I'm no longer a slave to my watch!
:neener:
Oh, yea, you might ditch the little leatherman.
