Here's an interesting legal question for ya (assuming he has no special tax stamps with this gun):

1. If he put the buttstock on before he put the front grip on, then he is guilty of (a) assembling/possessing an SBR, and then also guilty of (b) assembling /possessing an AOW once the grip was put on.

2. BUT, if he put the foregrip on FIRST, at which time he was guilty of assembling/possessing an AOW, THEN, when he also added the buttstock, did he also build an SBR at that point? Or is there *NO* SBR, because once it became an AOW, adding the buttstock still left it just an AOW, albeit in a bit of a different configuration?

In other words, did the order in which he assembled it make the difference between him committing one crime, versus two crimes?

Or, better yet, going back to #1, once the SBR has been built, legally or not, is then adding a foregrip to an SBR perfectly OK without a special license (since, once it became an SBR, it was no longer a handgun, to which the adding of a foregrip creates an AOW), and therefore only 1 crime under scenario #1.

We actually might have 2 crimes or only 1 under scenario #1. We also might have 2 crimes, or only 1, under scenario #2. So, arguably, four possible outcomes there....

Let that stew around awhile. :p
He blocked his sights for illumination. Because that is what that rail is for....

In his defense, I think that mount is high enough to allow see-through use of the irons. And boy is that ever using the word "irons" loosely (Glock).

Those wacky Mormons.

Hector the Mormon? :)

It actually wouldn't be a half-bad CQB weapon, espec. if suppressed.

The best part to me is that he stuck a flashlight on the top. Let me say that again:

HE STUCK A FLASHLIGHT ON THE TOP. He blocked his sights for illumination. Because that is what that rail is for....

Nah...a High Speed, Low Drag operator like that doesn't need sights. He's likely a point-shooting madman.

Besides, in Rainbow Six you have that option where you don't really have to hit the bad guys dead on to harm them.

Put an espresso machine on that thing and I'll take it!

If that thing makes cappuccino, you'll have to out-bid me for it!

Ya' know, I like mall ninja threads. It's a part of our sport, nothing wrong with a little humor in discussing guns.

I'm even thinking about taking my digital camera to East Towne Mall when I get the hankerin' for an Arby's, and tell the cammo'ed victim his picture will appear in THR.

You cannot have an AOW with a buttstock. It'd be a SBR with one, AOW without. 10 year minimum vacation regardless.

I just thought that beared repeating.

Extras in Italian Road Warrior rip-offs wouldn't be caught dead with that thing...

Why is everyone assuming this is an illegal sale? The seller could very well be registered to own an SBR in which case there is nothing illegal about him selling it. As long as the seller and buyer are both registered to own an SBR then there is nothing illegal here.

Jumping to the conclusion that this guy is a criminal because he is selling a gun that requires a tax stamp is a little premature. Knowing all the facts before making an accusation is always a good idea.

Not saying this is a legal sale, however I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that it isn't either. I would just feel bad if I made an accusation and then found out he was a legitimate tax stamp holder and perfectly within his rights. JMHO

Oh and yes that think is just a little too mall ninja for my tastes:rolleyes:

well there goes the fun in the thread. LOL! :)

but if he's class 3 you'd think he'd have better channels for selling it than a mediocre website.

KSL classifieds is anything but mediocre. I sold a car in 3 hours after posting it on there. It's about the best classifieds in the Utah area. And the firearms section is A. Allowed!, and B. Extensive.

ah, ok, then that explains it. it's wierd for me to see that on sale like that. at least i don't think we have anything like that here, but i could be wrong! :)

He's onto us! The listing is modified.

"FOR ALL THOSE DUMB F**KS ON THE HIGH ROAD IT HAS A SBR!! I JUST DIDINT POST IT G*DAM I CANT BELIVE POEOPLE ARE SO F**KEN NOSEY"

"MAY TRADE FOR GOOD A MP5 OR A HK IN A .308"
Good luck buddy

That's what I was thinking. He'd have to find a helluva sucker to make that deal.

I did say in my post on the first page: *IF* he doesn't have any special tax stamps.

He could have at least started with a Glock 34. But a 19? That makes no sense- at least it's not a 26!

Did you guys see what he wrote about us?

....Its still really funny how much money he thinks he will get for it...:p

I wonder how he knew it was thehighroad?

I did message him, but I put fake info on the contact info.
