Well, see, the post being in the auto pistol forum instead of the general handguns forum is a little confusing.

Well, see, I originally posted under general gun discussion and it was subsequently moved here by.......not me.

Handgun as defined by the ATF includes the sub-categories of "Pistol" or "Revolver", each with it's own unique definition. My opening line is clearly written.

My choices are pistols. Yours can be revolvers. That's okay.

My favorite 3 are the 3 that I currently own.

1. Browning Buckmark Camper SS – fun to shoot, inexpensive to maintain¸ and very accurate. Another advantage is it allows me to practice target accusation and trigger control for a fraction of the cost which has the added benefit of transferring the skills to my other handguns.

2. Beretta 90-Two 40 S&W – based on the 92 frame with improvements. Very accurate and comfortable in my hand. The 40 S&W has a bit more punch than the 9mm.

3.RIA 1911 Tactical 2011 w/rail – I just love the 1911 and this one allowed me to get one at a lower price that included a better trigger and skeleton hammer. Dependable, relatively accurate (more me than the gun), smooth feed and always goes bang. No FTF or FTE.

I also have reloading dies for both the 40S&W and 45ACP which allows me to load rounds to my advantage. I am still new at reloading and having fun researching and testing the reloads.
