You all keep saying there is no use for it. Now I have never seen Zombieland, but if someone here has I'm sure they will say it was used with devastating effect against Zombies.
I just read amount them in American Rifleman. I think it may be a couple of months before they show up in your local gin shop. I think it will be a hit. Not really practical for much but a pretty neat gun.
According to Able Ammo, the basic reciever is the same, Sam1911. The only difference is one is built as a rifle, another as the pistol. As long as the pistol reciever was never a rifle, all is legal. Of course all that goes out the window as an SBR.
Able Ammo has them listed for $406.48, although, I bet it will be months before you see one if at all. I hope they don't do the same thing that Charter Arms did with the 9mm and .45acp wheelguns - get people interested then scrap the project.
This is the first gun in a long time that has caught my attention. I sure hope I can get one.
I'm thinking that it has to be as accurate as a 12" revolver would be right? I mean, other than the funky grip (and obviously the lever action), it's it just a heavy handgun with a 12" barrel?
I'd be really interested in shooting one. I think the neat factor out weighs anything else.
Looks like I am gonna have to have a Ranch Hand as well. I was considering the AWA Lightening, but the Rossi bersion will be several hundred dollars cheaper! The Rossi website does not list the Ranch Hand in their new 2010 firearm section.... Anyone have these in stock yet? If not, what is the estimated release date?
