Trade a Smith for a Mak?

I woudn't trade even up. I would consider a deal of my smitty for a good makarov and 50-75 bucks to boot.
Another thing to consider is the condition of the S&W and what make and condition of the Mak.

But, I would trade even up, if I could, for a really nice Simpson-Suhl Makarov in a heart beat and smile all the way home.

A very wise gunshop owner once told me...."never sell any of your guns. Just eat some more mac and cheese for a while and save up." Anyway I believe you answered your own question when you said...

"I don't actually need to trade any gun to buy the Mak"

Just buy it and enjoy both!!!!

I learned long ago, that giving up a gun will lead to remorse later. Just wait a little longer and buy the Mak with no trade in.

In the end, I'd suggest you save up the $150 or so and buy the Mak. Its not that difficult to save up $150
