Traded my S&W 637 for a 342

The gun shop where I work took in an almost-new S&W 342 on Thursday. They put it out in the showcase for sale this morning, and I just had to have it. I made a trade deal with the boss, and gave him my 637 and a few bucks and got the 342. I put my CT 305 laser grips on it and took it out into the back yard this afternoon. Shooting from the hip, using the laser sight, I got a 4-inch group at 7 yards, dead-nuts on the point of aim. Total weight of the gun, loaded, with the CT laser grips is 14.4 ounces. I think I'm going to like it.

Not a trade that I would have made but it sure is gratifying to hear about someone so pleased with a new revolver.

That kind of satisfaction is fun even second hand.

I think it's a lighter version of the 642. And maybe black.
