has anyone had good luck with the cheaper trail cameras?
I live in Mississippi. But I was thinking about buying the tasco trail cameras from Walmart because paying almost $200 for a trail camera doesn’t make much sense to me since the cheaper cameras does the same thing as the more expensive cameras. That's the only kind of trail cam I use...... Cheap ones. Trail cams don't last forever and cheapos don't either. If I get 2 or 3 years out of one I'm happy. They are out all year round in temperatures from sub-zero to the nineties. The cheapo's that run on 8 "AA" batteries seem to hold up best for battery life and my favorites are probably made by Wild Game Innovations. Presently have one of those that's been out in the same area for over 4 years now. Never thought I'd get that long out of a cheapo, but sometimes you get lucky. Last winter I also started running lithium "AA" batteries in them and despite initially costing more, they hold up much longer in the cold, so they're worth it for winter use. You didn't say where you're located but if winters get severe lots of guys don't leave trail cams out after deer season ends in December. I leave 'em out just out of curiosity to see what, ( if anything ) is happening in the dead of winter. My cheap trail cams would probably last longer if they weren't out all year. One day last winter I was out on snowshoes checking cams and changing SD cards. And welcome to TRH.
Can you post some pictures that you’re primos bullet proof 2 cameras has taken? These are on sale at one of the local Walmart’s for $13 and I’m thinking about buying several of them. That's all I buy and I've had good luck with almost all of them! I have 3 Primos Bullet Proof 2 cameras and I've bought them all for under $50 on Amazon at various times through the year. I have a Wildgame Innovation Terra 10 that I got on clearance at Menards for $40 and it has been solid for several years now. I've got two different StealthCams that I've picked up at various places and while their picture quality is not as good as the other brands, they have all been dead reliable. And my buddy just bought two Muddy brand cameras at Rural King. They came with Duracell batteries, an SD card, and a card reader for $50 and he said they take really great pictures.
I run 10 different trail cameras and none of them are over $70 and I see no reason to spend more than $50 anymore.

Does anyone make a trail camera that has a setting so it only takes pictures during daylight hours? The camera needs a light sensor that only allows it to trigger when the light is sufficient for a day picture to take.
I have a Moultrie Trace camera that allows you to set the time of day that it takes photos. I set it to start around sunrise and stop about 45 minutes after sunset.
