Travel Light Everyday Carry?

Since I have no CCW,

belt
wallet
watch
cell phone
keys(with small knife)
Cold Steel Vaquero Grande(strong side)
Cold Steel Pro Lite(weak side)
Leatherman Super Tool
Pepper Spray
Zippo(fire! Fire!)
Lip Balm
Pen
Streamlight Scorpion
Handcuffs
Gum

Why the handcuffs, you ask?
Well, partly habit as I spent a while as Loss Prevention. Mainly because I have needed them a couple of times. Working for 3 years in my area's major mall, I've thrown out a lot of punks who find it appropriate to follow me to my car. It's a lot easier to cuff them than to sit and hold them down while I wait for pd.
Add that to the number of A$$holes I've thrown out of bars as a bouncer, and I get quite a bit of flak from idiots.
After a while, I just decided it would be easier to carry cuffs than not.

Ha! --Men! (And I say that with utmost affection for the species). Y'all just don't have a good way to carry stuff!

Let's see, in my pockets or on my belt:
1. Springless Japanese carpenter's knife (flips right open with a snap of the wrist, how handy! Illegal in some states, I suspect).
2. "Doctor's knife" (small folder)
3. Possibly a holstered sidearm held up by:
4. Heavy belt
5. at various points in the day, any number of small tools, lights, etc. end up in my back pockets.
6. Earrings! ...Even little ones can be a hazard at work, so most days, they end up in a pocket.

In a small purse:
1. Keys, with folding scissors and LED light on key ring
2. Sidearm (if not on belt or stashed in car)
3. Pocketbook (think large wallet or tiny purse)
4. Celphone
5. At least three pens, one of them a real fountain pen, plus a notepad.
6. Full-sized "leatherman" type multi-tool.
7. Small toolkit in eyeglass case containing "universal" disc screwdriver, two small plier/screwdriver widgets, small "letherman," folding steel rule, tiny caliper, instrument screwdriver, bright LED light, etc.
8. Lighter (fire good)
9. Calculator (better living through mathematics!)
10. The usual "stuff:" sunglasses, spare eyeglasses, contact lens drops, tissues, compact, mints of unknown origin, etc.
11. Pager
Plus a larger LED light and often odd stuff like a butane-powered soldering iron....
Packing density is extremely high. I was tired of not having what I needed when I needed it. "Defanging" for air travel is kind of difficult!

Body shape and clothing options preclude the daily carry of a pistol. That will change upon arrival of my Alessi "bodyguard" shoulder rig.

Also, as I'm never far from my vehicle, carrying a multi-tool on my person just isn't sensible. That could also change in the near future.

The weapon that you wear......or the weapon that you are. Prioritize.

1.belt
2.XD40
3.fixed blade United knife
4.cigs&lighter
5.cell phone (keeps time, no need for watch)
6.money clip with ID, CCW, 1 credit card

IN backpack, when I want to carry it: 2 paris of handcuffs (would rather use these than the gun, if I have to) extra mag, flashlight, butterfly knife, among other more useless stuff.

watch
keys
belt
wallet
cellphone
~6" maglite
benchmade tac-knife (protection)
cheapo tac-knife for (utility)

Spare Mag

Wilderness 5 stitch belt

That's my standard...uh, loadout. If I'm going to be around people I add my 5-11 vest with a spare set of Lithium batteries, note pad, checkbook, and two pens spread among all of the various pockets, and an old worn black Nike microfiber ballcap. Gotta have the cap.

Gah, I turned into one of those "bag" guys. Now I have a soft sided brief with me most days. When I'm not carrying that:

watch
belt
cell phone
t-mobile sidekick
wallet
chap stick
listerine strips
change
truck key ring
house key ring (with led flashlights on it and a leatherman squirt)
spyderco knife (small one)
Glock 27
spare magazine w/ + 1 extension on it

in the bag:

notebook
pens
books
gerber legend multitool
big led flashlight (I forget the brand, the one with 5 leds in it, 20 hour life)
16 ounces of water in a nalgene bottle
cliff bars

if I'm traveling more heavily armed:

full size pistol w/ 2 spare magazines

Maybe I should just get a dang cart to wheel all this crap around....

I am an Army recruiter so I usually carry:
cell phone
watch
wallet
BM 556s Mini Griptilian
Pen
Business Cards

off work
cell phone
watch
BM 556s Mini Griptilian
pen
Business Cards
EAA 10mm compact or S&W 5906 or AMT .380 BackUpII
spare mag

Watch
Wallet
Belt
Inova X-5
Spyderco Endura combo edge
Keys
Leash^WCell Phone
Pen*

When I get my CCP, add a 1911 in a Milt Sparks VM2 and two spare mags on the weak side.

The knife and flashlight were both gifts from Dad. Two of the best gifts I've ever received. The Spydie will happily cut 4" oil lines (I work on an old bomber, with a 2000 horsepower engine), and the flashlight is always in use. Only complaint is the cheapo elastic/nylon sheath with the torch, but I'm having a good leather one made.

* Herself: anybody--man or woman--who carries a real, honest-to-God fountain pen gets a beer, on me. The soldering iron seals the deal.

On my belt:
- Cell phone
- 2AA Mini-Maglite
- EAA Windicator .38spl 2" in Uncle Mike's Cordura Super Belt Slide holster (strong-side)

In left front pocket:
- HKS DS-A speedloader with 6 rounds Hornady Custom HP/XTP 158-gr. (reload)
- Pen-style handcuff key (clipped to inside of pocket)

In right front pocket:
- Car keys

- Coins
- Kershaw 1640 Vapor folder (clipped to inside of pocket)

In left rear pocket:
- Peerless Model 500 chain-link handcuffs

In right rear pocket
-Wallet

Why carry handcuffs? It's a lot easier to restrain a BG if you can then to stand there holding him at gunpoint or wrestling/holding him to the ground until LE arrives. It's also more humane than possibly ending up injuring a BG by constant physical subduing and sued by him for it. I've had a couple of occasions where they've come in to use and have been commended by LE officers on those occasions for being able to detain a BG without risking further harm or injury to myself or others by handcuffing him/her.

Does anyone think this is TOO heavy?

Always:

1. Wallet
2. Keys
3. Cloth to clean glasses
4. Pepper Spray
5. Folder
6. Leatherman Micra

9. P7M8

Optional:

10. Lighter (depends on what I'm wearing)
11. Extra mag
12. Canon A40 (depends on where I'm going and what I'm wearing)

2AA Maglight
Zippo
Leatherman Wave

Sidearm and Blackberry make it to the car, but don't get carried during the day. Can't carry at work, and if they need me that bad they can call the cell.

This is what I carry most of the time.

There's a joke in here somewhere.

A catholic guy and a jewish guy aet in a nasty car crash, but both emerge prety much okay. THey are standing at the side of the road, and the catholic guy sees the jewish guy make the sign of the cross on his body.

The catholic guy says ," What did you cross yourself for? I didn't know that was something jewish people did". The jewish guys says "Heck no, I'm not crossing myself, just making sure I'vs still got everything: Spectacles (touches head), testicles, (touches lower), Wallet (touches left), and watch! (touches right). :p

So now, for some reason, that's part of my mantra- spectacles, testicles, wallet and watch!
