I think wholesalers and distributors are still filling back orders any way they can. In the last week gas has gone up $1/gal. Diesel $1.25. Everything in this country moves on trucks. When fuel prices go up, so does the price of shipping. And that determines how the retailers are supplied - prices increase, drives down availability, while driving up prices.Hard to explain what is going on around here. After months of off and on stuff showing up......but usual stock being 25 to 30 powders on any given day......as of today, Midway has no powders available. Something wrong about that.
Graf's in Mexico has two cabinets full of various powders......at least half or more shotgun powders. Not many rifle powders when I was last there. Called Full Circle in St. Charles and he said they just got a big shipment of rifle powders.......including Varget and H4350. Yet not a single pound of shotgun powder in the store and hasn't seen any for a while. Was told that after a 15 year break on shotshell loading, everybody and their brother are pulling out old loaders to get going again. Did have shotshell components most of last year.....now has none.
The Midway situation smacks of something going on in Europe along the lines of AMMO Inc donation. Perhaps a donation of all the powders in stock to a good cause?
