First a disclaimer....I'm not a gunny. So this question might be a display of ignorance.

Does anyone out there make a trigger action like the Taurus 24/7? or is this a new concept.

If I understand correctly....the 24/7 trigger is a SA on the first pull and each follow up.....but then a DA second strike pull available.

That sounds totally different than what you would find on a Baretta, CZ or SIG, where the first pull is DA with SA follow up shots.

I'm intrigued by this action. I like my PT-111 quite a bit and would like to try the new PT-111 with the 24/7 trigger.

Other than the huge marketing hype, I fail to see how this makes it different than any other SA/DA trigger system. Instead of having a decocker to lower the hammer, it's a striker-fired pistol that would be carried cocked-and-locked. Thus your first shot (and all thereafter, one hopes) are single-action.

Any DA/SA trigger "automatically" resets to double action if the round fails to fire...

Actually, I believe there are CZ-75's with the same mode of operation. DA/SA trigger, with C&L capability.
