It's a browning silver 12ga, set up as a slug gun with a rifled cantilever barrel. It will be used like a rifle, so I want a nice 3.5lb trigger on it. Any recommendations on who to send it to? Somebody said Bill Springfield of http://www.triggerwork.net/shotguns.html is good. Just looking for recommendations. Cany any decent gunsmith do this pretty easily? The safety also is a bit tough/loud to disengage, Bill said he might be able to help that too.

Can't help with the trigger, but my safeties, I have two Browning BPS's, work really smooth. The safety and the bottom feed/eject are two of theings I like most about my BPS's
Sorry, I misread the post. I thought your were talking about the BPS series.

Thanks for the tips guys, I'll look into it. Yeah the safety is kind of annoying, especially given that this is a deer gun. I don't like how they make their deer version of the Silver, exactly the same as the other versions of the silver. No monte-carlo stock even though it has a cantilever barrel, safety has to be manipulated slowly if you don't want to spook a deer 30 yards away, trigger weighs in at over 7 pounds. Don't get me wrong it's a great gun, just glad I got a deal on it. Wouldn't pay $1000 for this configuration.

Anyway a little work by a gunsmith and she should be doing fine I'm sure.
