Gentleman.
Here is the story. I own Para Ordinance 1911. Great gun, for me anyways. I have it for just about a year, shoot it on weekly bases, love it.
But today my world crumbled. I took the gun to the range, put about 300 rounds down the pipe, all good. Took it home and as hundred times before field strip it and clean it. Just like hundred times before I put the gun back together, pulled the trigger and ….. nothing.
The gun won't fire. Trigger seems to be frozen in place and hammer is stuck in fully cocked position.
I tried everything I know, disassembled the gun and put it back together like 10 times, removed the grips to check magazine well. I don't see anything wrong there as well. The trigger won't move, the hammer won't fall.
Any ideas ? Anything you can recommend before I take it to the gunsmith or send it to the manufacturer ? What happened ? Something broke inside the gun ?
Any and I mean any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Cezar.

If you have a adjustable trigger. Possible over travel screw screw has turned it self and lock up trigger Back screw up a couple turns .
If thats not it
Strip it all way down and inspect it . If you never done this their lots of direction on the net. Its really not all that hard

It sounds like something is interfering with your hammer strut or your hammer / sear engagement. It could be anything in there really, and if you're not comfortable detail stripping the pistol I'd take it to a gunsmith.

Take it back apart and get the disconnecter, sear, and sear spring in the right places. Betcha that fixes it.

Check to see if the disconnect is being reset. The head should poke up above the frame just a bit with the slide fully rearward and the trigger left alone. If it's not...the trigger can't rotate the sear because it never touches the sear. It may be as simple as a bad sear spring, or it may be a burr or defect on the disconnect spade or the sear feet that's causing it...and I suspect the sear spring because the trigger seems to be locked in place.

The center leg of the sear spring resets both the trigger and the disconnect. That's probably whence the bug nests.

I had something similar happen. A primer fell out of a loose primer pocket (old brass) and got down in the gears. With all the 1911 video out there it should be a straight forward diagnosis.

OK guys, thanks for all the tips.
What ever it is, i can't fix it myself so it's a trip to the gunsmith. I don't want to screw it up even more.
Thanks again,
Cezar.
