Factory mags are $45 a pop. The discount guns come with 1. So he got $180 worth of mags plus a $420 +transfer gun OTD for under $600. Read the post guys before you say he paid too much.

I've been wanting to try a 250. I probably will once I wear out my West German 220. This may take a while.

Gentleman.
I'm well aware of DA only trigger on this gun. But i can live with this. It feels OK practicing with snap caps.
Why i bought this gun ? It was the best i could find at the show. I didn't want to mess with buying it online, paying for shipping and transfers. Sure, if there was any P220 to chose from i would try those first.
I had a chance to handle S&W M&P. In .45 and .40. Sorry, the Sig felt better for me.
Anyways, what ammo would you recommend for the range time ? I prefer standard FMJ, but i had very limited choice yesterday. I bought two boxes of PMC Bronze just because i had good experience with this brand. Plus 5 single boxes from different brands just to try it and find out what the gun likes. But i was shocked NOT to find anything in bulk. Nothing at all.
What do you guys shoot ?
THX,
Cezar.

editing post...... just realized that you got 5 mags as well. Just out of curiosity, did you buy the gun because you REALLY liked it or because you though it was s good deal?

Do people not even bother to read what this OP posted. He posted he got a P250 fullsized with FIVE MAGS.

The mags for these guns are $45 a piece plus shipping. The gun at buds comes with ONE MAG So if he got the gun from Buds for $380 + Transfer $20 + $180= $580....

People really need to learn to read the thread before criticizing someones purchase or price they paid.

Your post is duly noted. I would like to offer up my sincerest apologies. I promise to read over a thread at least three times before I post any sort of reply as I am now aware that a haphazard remark could be met with the extreme force of capital letters and bold fonts.

Hi All.... Please forgive me for highjacking, but....I want to buy a P220.
Question: Is the current production made in Germany?

Thanks, Scout.

Would you suggest I still go ahead and buy one or should I look for a used German-made one?
Is the quality of the USA guns as good as the German-made?

I have shot the P250 a lot my father in law has it. He has the conversion kit for 9mm, .40 and .45, i have shot it in all 3. I actually like the DAO trigger, you will enjoy this firearm.

Adam123. I bought this particular gun because it was the best of what was there to chose from. Best for me it is. I go by the way the gun feels in my hand, how does balance, how natural it is to aim it.
I'll shoot it this incoming Friday. Hope my instinct haven't fooled me.
I'm and impulse buyer most of the times. I do some research, ask questions and listen to the answers but i do go by the way things feel and fit me.
Got burned couple of times but mostly i'm happy with the guns i buy.
Cezar.

P.S.
My gun is a two tone one, night adjustable sights, box, lock, papers, heck even comes with SigSauer bumper sticker. Made in NH.

Well, range rapport.
Took the gun to the first date last night. We did it ;-)
The recoil is far less than anticipated, follow up shots are easy to do. Trigger is just fine, took me like 20 rounds to remember when it goes. Gun shoots just a tad to the right but i adjusted it already. I'm pretty green when it comes to handguns but by the end of the session i was getting easy head shoots at about 15 feet and easy, aimed body shoots at 50 feet. Man size paper silhouette targets.
But, there was a strange thing happening. Using PMC Bronze ammo, i had some jams. Always the last round from the magazine, always PMC.
Other brands performed without hick up. Any ideas ?
My remedy is to not not to buy any more PMC stuff but it is intriguing. Only the last round and only the PMC.
So, i'm happy. My son 14 yo, is happy as well, he shoot it as much as i did and had fun with it. Gun is so easy to clean too.

OK, I don't think you can go wrong buying a Sig even if it was made in the USA... Although everybody knows that this country can't even manufacture a paper clip any more. Yes Germany builds much better guns that this upstart country that is barely more than 200 years old. Why I have socks that are that old. No country under 1000 years old can build a truly decent gun. Good God man, don't you know any better? ...Oh wait a minute,:scrutiny: no you can't go wrong with that gun.

good call on going with the .45!

sometimes the price of ammo can be a pain, but you gotta love big bullets! just feels good to shoot. enjoy!
