trying a new flint lock this season, a 50 cal rmc.

i picked up this RMC .50 cal flintlock with a 1x28 twist to try bullets instead of round balls. let me say this, i have killed 13 deer with thompson center and pedersoli flint lock rifles in the past, i gave up on the TC flint locks because of trouble with the frizzens, i like my blue ridge .50, it has the best frizzen i have ever used. but it has a round ball twist and i wanted to try the bullet shaped slug. this RMC came with a group of rifles i bought last month and i,m itching to shoot it. i have begged and barrowed a small collection of bullets to try when the rain quits. the L&R lock sure is a sparker with black english flints. the season starts saturday and i,ll take my pedersoli with me as back up if needed. eastbank.
