I remember hearing about one a ways back but can't remember the maker or the model. I brought it up in a rifle discussion at work, but I couldn't back it up with the exact name.
IIRC, to get away with having a tubular magazine and pointy spitzer bullets, it had some sort of spiral groove inside that made the bullet tips offset from the primers in front of it so it would be safe from chain fire.
Browning, Remington, Savage?...
Any takers?
Thanks in advance.
