I had a class the other day, the last one of the training year. I decided to try the Tueller Drill, I had a shooter face the target and the runner stand behind him. With out warning the runner would smack the shooter in the back and take off running, the shooter then draws and double taps the target. The runner stopped when he heard the shots. What an eye opener!! The runners averaged 30 feet!!! This really got the attention of the students, especialy after they realized that we teach the 21 foot rule. I will definetly be including this drill in all of my classes from now on. Anybody else have some good drills for class?

I do the same drill for my LEO shooter's, except in reverse.
I have the runner 21' behind and off to the side of the shooter. Enough so that the shooter can see the runner. The runner then takes off towards the shooter, who then must draw and hit a paper target before the runner can come up and slap him on the back.
Having the shooter actually feel contact before they clear their holster or fire their gun is a big eye opener and attention getter.
