I bought 1000 Tula large pistol primers the first of the year when I placed a big primer order. They were a little cheaper and decided why not. I mainly use Winchester LP for my 10mm and .45acp.
I finally broke down and started using them. I have to say they are a pretty primer, not tarnished like the Winchesters. They also are oriented so I don't have to flip them. I've probably shot over 300 and not had one failure.
I also have some of their small pistol primers but have not tried them yet.
Anyone else have Tula experiences?

Not me personally but I have a buddy and that's all he buys, he has used thousands. He swears by them and they are the best price.

Another happy customer here. I have gone through thousands and have yet to have a single issue.

I hear occasionally that folks have issues. It seems that, on occasion, they have bad batches. In my case I have yet to see a bad one though.

Tula SPP is Good to Go..

I have loaded buckets full of 9MM and .38Spl. with the Tula Small Pistol primers--NOT any problem yet.;).Bill.

I've shot thousands of them.

The only time you'll hear people have issues with them is due to not seating them in all the way into the case.

They do seem to be a little harder to seat all the way.

I bought 5,000 Tula LP primers and never had a problem with them. I would have bought them again but couldn't find them at the time. I am using Winchester now. I am noticing the same difference in the Winchester and Tula as you. The Winchesters seem to be a good primer though.

I've used several thousand of them with no problems. They are tighter in the pocket than some others, so I don't use them with cases that have the tighter primer pockets, like S&B. They work and are cheaper than others. What more can you ask, other than US made...

Used there SR KVB-5.56M. They seem to work well for me in 5.56.
Also used some of their SP 9mm/NATO primers. Can't remember exactly what they were called but different than the normal SP. Used 2000 of them and they were fine as well.
Good price when you can find them. I initially bought them because I could not find anything else in both flavors at one place. (1 hazmat)

I've been using CCI's for about 95% of my loads for better than 30 yrs., not one single mis-fire to date. The only other brand I've ever used has been Win., and they have also been 100% without fail also. I just prefer the way CCI's feel when they seat, more positive feel when they bottom out in the pocket.

The commie crap works fine for me..I'd rather use CCI but I never fail to get suckered in by the Tula price.

Pretty big thread around here somewhere, if you want to read some more comments.

I bought 3 thousand recently, have gone through a few hundred and have had 2-3 duds. These are SSP. Bds has another thread about them. Like CCI SPP, they seem to be slightly larger and I dont experience "loose primer pocket" like I do with Winchester SPP. That said, I have never had a failure with CCI or Winchester. CCI at powder valley were just a few bucks more than I paid for the Tulas. I bought the Tulas when Midsouth ran the no Hazmat fee special a while back...

I've used the Tula primers and experienced no issues that I can remember. I would buy them again if I could find them.
