TulAmmo and the Local Range

My range has two buckets. One for steel/aluminum and the other for brass. Why would this ever have to be more complicated than this?

Some people's children!

If this is the range I'm thinking of, there are 2-3 other good options in the area. Cavalier, Richmond Conservation, and Colonial.

If not, I guess there are 2 ranges run by grumpy old men in VA

I am thinking about joining Cavalier...but their web page gives no information. If I click on "membership" it just goes to a page with a bunch of pictures.

Colonial doesn't have a 100 yard range and seems way overpriced to me.

I've never heard of Richmond Conservation, I will have to check it out.

Going by stories on here, there are plenty of grumpy range masters etc....IMO when people are being safe however, they shouldn't have to put up with that crap. At least the range I am talking about doesn't have range masters though....they just berate you when you go to sign in....

steel cased steel jacketed ammo is the only thing that was ever shot through militairy surplus SKS and AKS right up to the point they were shipped from there to here and then it is highly likeley is what most SKS and AK owners run through theirs except for the few who think that it damages the firearm:scrutiny:
Tul, Klimovsk, or one of the other cheap Russian ammo is the only thing I run through mine no need to switch up at this point.

If I had a brand new firearm that chamberd the .30x1.535" cartridge then I would use American made brass cased ammo but I don't so I will stick with the good cheap ammo.
and keep shooting on private property to avoid the over zealus range wardens:D

OP, bring some Hornady Steel Match ammo next time. Also ask if steel case ammo can hurt a glock.
