Due unexpected health issues I did not attend the fall Tulsa Gun Show. I really hated missing it and would like you guys to fill me in so I can have a vicarious experience. I did speak to a friend and he said there was lots and lots of ammo, mostly overpriced. So guys, what was your experience??

I don't live anywhere near, but I did go to my local Provost Gun Show yesterday. Found a few neat things, a stripper clip of corrosive 7.62x39 and this : IMG_20211114_215213869.jpg

To enhance my Norinco Collection I guess. Cheaper than 9mm.

Last good show I went to was 9 or 10 years ago. Picked up a new Beretta Stampede in .45 Colt and a LNIB Rossi Model 92, also in .45 Colt. Did fair bit of haggling on the Beretta but paid the asking price (which wasn't all that bad to begin with), on the Rossi because I was afraid someone might walk by, see it, and then I would get into a bidding war over it!

The faux ivory grips were a later addition to the Beretta.

I went late Saturday morning and I was very unimpressed... I saw a sealed 200rd case of Hornady 150gr 30-06 for $600!!!! I also saw old AF boxes of 30-06 hunting ammo of various brands for 3-4 dollars a round!! Lol I also had my H&K USPc40 with bullets and dies (couldn't bring any of my 1k+ rounds inside...) and everyone I showed it to was interested in it at first cause it's an H&K, but they saw it was a .40 and about fainted from disgust lol... I'm like oh, ok, you do know the border patrol loves .40 right? I don't get people... Needless to say, I will NOT be going to another one of their shows...

Memphis/Germantown no longer has gun shows, unless the small shows returned to Southaven MS.
If Tulsa were as close as Little Rock, I would gladly return.

For some strange reason, I never expected to find a bargain at any show.
Seeing a good variety of non-plastic, metal guns can be the main, or only objective.

I attended a Wannamachers show about three years ago, and only wanted to find/handle (possibly buy, if at a normal price) VZ by CSA/Czechpoint, therefore I bought -nothing- except hot dogs and coffee.
Spent two days steadily walking down each aisle.

Literally saw everything twice. Bought no guns or accessories. To clarify, nobody had a VZ- only the Century VZ-2008.

Over the 15-20 years I've been attending the Wanenmacher show in Tulsa, I have only missed 3. In that process, I've bought 4-5 guns (kicked myself for not buying more), knives, ammo, reloading components and equipment, gun cases, game calls, vests, slings, flash lights, sharpening tools, a spotting scope, scope rings.....oh, and vanilla from the "Vanilla Lady" (who died about 4 years ago). I'm sure I'm forgetting some things. I absolutely thrive in that environment. Was forced to miss this show due to family health issues, but I'll be back in the spring. See ya there!!

I, too, missed Tulsa.

It is USUALLY a good show. Wanenmacher shows are better than most, in the State.
I haven't seen much, AT ANY SHOW, in the last year.

I still would have gone to Tulsa, if I could.
