Tumbler recommendations?

Just to look at them they are very similar, I have had a Lyman tumbler for over 20 years, never had any problems of any kind. If I was choosing I would get the Lyman, it's a little cheaper. :)

I just went ahead and purchased Midway's brand of tumbler with strainer and bucket. Great stuff.

Probably the cheapest route.

I have a Lyman 2200 with the Auto-flow feature. It has served me well. It's capacity is more than I can use right now. I know it isn't the model you're looking at, but the Lyman is a good product. I'm sure the other is as well.

Midway tumbler

I will recommend your choice. If you will put a small piece of carpet or an old typewriter pad (am I showing my age?) under the tumbler you will have a quiet operation. I use corn cob to polish and walnut hulls to clean.

I had an old lyman I got used probably 20+ years old worked great. Needed a bigger one bought a dillon a lot less noise and smoother. But
the lymans made in the last decade maybe inproved as well.

Thumler's Model "B" rotary tumbler. If you want the very best!

It gives you the option of tumbling in corncob/walnut media, or the much better (for me, at least) method of washing in warm water and liquid Tide.

Almost all commercial reloaders wash their brass. Is there a lesson here?

The Thumlers Model B is the Cadillac of cleaners. Have you ever wondered why most people call a Vibratory Cleaner a tumbler?

The model B may be a little slower than a vibrator but it's very quiet. It's designed to run 24/7.
I used four and was processing about 10-20 thousand cases a week. In 12 years I had to replace 11 belts. When I shut down the business I sold them. The last I knew all four were still going strong.

I also was never worried about tumbling loaded ammo. The tumbler is a little gentler. Long rifle rounds tend to turn sideways and "gp with the flow". I was always a little leery of spire point bullets vibrating against primers.

Tumbler recommendations

I had a Midway, it overheated and burnt a big spot on the wood bench I had it sitting on in my barn. Apparently they recalled them, you can read about the recall/model number here.

They offered to replace mine, I gladly took the refund instead and bought a Dillon.
