'lightman' - I will write about it, and post photos once it arrives. The bathmat should work fine, or even an old towel cut into several pieces and folded enough times to absorb any movement.

My dishwasher is running right now and I think that makes more noise than this tumbler will make.

After a lot of thinking, and a lot of reading, I ordered the Thumbler's Tumbler last night. It will arrive next week.

A quick note for anyone else trying to buy this device...

The price for a Thumbler Ultra-Vibe 10 Case Tumbler from Midway is $187:

The price for a Thumbler Ultra-Vibe 10 Case Tumbler from Cabelas is $140:

(Midway is also out of stock, so maybe there has been a price increase from the manufacturer, and Cabela's is still selling inventory at the old price? My not very good memory is that the price at Midway used to be $150....)

A quick follow-up on this thread. My tumbler arrived today. Just like the sales person said, it makes hardly any noise - it sounds like my refrigerator. My main concern (other than getting something that worked well) was noise, and and this one is far quieter than what I've seen until now. I guess I should post a video sometime in the future.
