Yes that's right. My M700 ADL .270 Tupperware Special is going to get a new stock and a name change. I plan to use what I have learned refurbishing milsurp wood and apply it to the Special. I am hoping to find an 90-95% inletted and unfinished piece of walnut or ?
I plan to go a step up in the gunstock food chain, bypass Boyds and go for a higher quality stock. I did some searching and found a couple of companies that have machine inletted stock in various grades of wood quality.
These two companies interest me at the moment.

Wenig Custom Gunstocks http://www.wenig.com/
Are these companies good to do business with? Any other companies I should take a look at?
This is stage one of a three stage project. Stage two is a quality 6x fixed scope. Stage three is to shoot the (insert expletive here) out of the factory barrel and get a better quality barrel.
The Imperial Red-Headed Scorpio is on-board with this project and will be assisting with some of the financing. This means a proper stock fitting and a better quality of wood if the price is right. This also means there won't be any griping when there is a gun all torn apart on a card table in the living room.
Thanks
