I sold my Remington 870 and Benelli SuperBlack Eagle II couple years ago...
Spring Turkey season is just around the corner...I have a 10 y/o boy and a 12 y/o girl who both want to kill a turkey.... or at least try. I also want a HD shotgun. I think the prices of 870s have gotten rediculous. However I like both of these guns and the prices are both around 400 here. Which one would you pick and why? Which handles a 3 1/2" Turkey load kick better?

Thanks for your input guys and gals!

Mossberg 835 Ulti-Mag Tactical Turkey

Supernovas are very light, and I've heard many complaints about it in my store, even with the comfortech stock, as blasting your shoulder with 3.5" loads. Supposedly, they sell a recoil reduction system, that might be worth looking into. The thing is light, which is good, but also bad. Overall, I like the design, as do many of my customers who buy them; just that the lesser weight could be an issue if you weren't ready for the additional recoil come turkey season.
Also, the forends rattle. They don't have turkeys in Italy, and don't see why it's a problem. I've heard some people have had success tightening the screws necessary to make it rattle less, but I don't know how successful that would be out in the field, you tell me.

Don't have any feedback on the 835 setup. I had a mossberg rattle shells out of the mag tube when firing 3" loads on a skeet range, however; dunno how well that would work with the 3.5" loads.
