Obama's Campaign Machine is up and running. There is a website called "Organizing for Action" that encourages you to post stories about gun violence.

I posted a couple of stories where I needed to defend myself from potential violence. In these situations, I was fortunate to be carrying my handgun for self defense. I see nowhere on the site that prohibits telling successful self-defense stories.

If you have a similar story, turn the tables on this website and share your pro-gun success! Below is the email message and link that they provide for you to share. I would suggest that you share it with every gun owner that you know and encourage them to also tell their story, after all aren't there two sides? Pass this along if you know someone else that may be similarly 'inspired' to share their experience.

Here's the 'Organizing for Action' message:
Hey -- I just shared my story about gun violence. Tell your own personal story, or about why you stand with President Obama in reducing gun violence in America.Tell your story—and inspire other people to do so, too:

I posted this story. I somehow doubt it'll ever show up on the page.

I entered a pistol and carbine match on Feb 10th, along with 86 other shooters. We were all disappointed to find that, since “guns are made only to kill”, all our weapons were defective! This was especially true for most of the competitors who were using guns with 15-25 round magazines. Over 10,000 rounds were fired through those evil weapons and no one was injured. Everyone had a good time.
Hundreds of matches like that take place every weekend all around the country and no one gets hurt.
Maybe guns aren’t the problem after all. Maybe it’s the criminals. Should we try “criminal control”?
