I thought this guys project was pretty slickl. He wanted a "cool" robotics project to work on for the summer and decided to build a "sentry gun" system that would automatically identify human targets and accurately track and engage them. He didn't use an actual firearm for the project as he used his brother for the target but his results were pretty impressive for a first try. The web site for his project is:
