Nope, one is enough for me.
...3 knives on him and 6 more knives in his truck so he can stab any intruder from various locations in the truck
Must be one Hell of a big truck!

Knives have ability to do more damage. However, you have to let the BG get close.

Any defensive tatical training. 21ft. That is the distance that somebody can cover and mortally wound a person before they they can draw and fire. Not saying that you wont get a shot off but at that point they will already be close enough to kill you with a knife. I don't know about you but I'm close than that to people every day. Now personally I prefer a gun but that is what most police, feds and civilian defense training will tell you.

It's generally accepted that this distance has been increased to 30 feet.

On duty, I carry a standard sidearm and usually an ankle gun.

Off duty, usually only one firearm, concealed.

Lately I've been carrying my Sig P220 OWB and a Russian commercial Makarov in my Pocket. I don't feel overburdened by the weight at all so I don't hesitate to put on two guns.

Like another poster I carried a CM9 in the pocket for a long time. In Texas, open carry negated harassing printing issues so I now "conceal" my 1911s. Just feels strange not carrying the CM9 also, so I carry both.

I'm not paranoid, just felt weird not having the little 9 there. So, I usually carry both.

My Ruger LCP is in my right front pocket anytime i have pants on and a shield 9mm IWB at 4 o'clock. The shield conceals so well itself and is very comfortable to carry so i usually will carry both at all times.
