Nice contrast, but I think a more direct predecessor would be the M1 Garand.

^^^ I'll say, I could look at the Stevens Pump WWII?? all day but that Bushmaster is hideous - it's the scope & mount and long ACE stock that look so odd to me. If that's at Bushmaster 450 that would be a neat caliber to hunt with though.
