I thought that I would post a pic of some of my more recent acquisitions. I picked up the 1972 Colt Detective Special on the last day of 2007 at Bass Pro Shop for $320.00. The S&W model 13-4 was a birthday present to myself in April. I picked it up for $325. The 1975 nickel Colt Cobra cost me $460.00 and I picked it up Monday. I picked it up at a shop that bought it from an older gentleman that bought it new when he was a security guard at a local hospital. He said that he put about a half of a box of ammo through it and carried it some, then put it back in the box. It was in the box when I picked it up. Man, I like revolvers. There's just something mesmerizing about them.

On a side note, what is the best way to polish the nickel on the Cobra without harming it? I will probably use Johnson's paste wax on the blued guns.

Phy,
Excellent weapons, all! I use Flitz and less than agressive rubbing with a soft cloth or patch on my nickle babies.

Nice.

I would also recommend Flitz and very gentle rubbing with a microfiber cloth.

After polishing the nickel, (Flitz is fine) use the same wax on the plated gun. Unlike some solvents and oils, the wax will protect the nickel without dulling it.
