POSTED: 10:44 a.m. CDT May 17, 2003
UPDATED: 10:57 a.m. CDT May 17, 2003

DALLAS -- Police were investigating a shooting inside an Oak Cliff church.

It happened around 2 a.m. Saturday morning at the Church of Revelation in Dallas.

The deacon of the church heard a noise, met a prowler in the hall and shot him, police said.

Investigators said they found a small broken window where the suspect may have broken in.

Police said there have been other churches that have been burglarized in the area.

The deacon has been released. A grand jury will decide if any charges will be filed.

I caught a few minutes of one of those old Charles Bronson Death Wish movies the other day. It was the one where Charles is a vigilante going around shooting criminals. He catches some guys making a dope deal in an abandoned hotel. One of the guys is wearing a wooden cross around his neck. He asks "Do you believe in Jesus". The guy says, "Yes sir, I do". And Charles says, "Good, because you are going to meet him". And shoots him with a .380 Beretta.

Oh ya, it was a one shot stop.

The only place where you get your "Miranda Rights" and "Last Rites" read simultaneously. Is the confession admissible? :D
