My mother got a 19 month old black lab for my father. After hunting for three hours last wensday that would more accuratly be call a hike I'm looking in to seeing if I could train the dog to be a retriever/flusher.
The dog might of had some previous training judging by he runs when he is off the lesh, with head down following his nose. So I am wondering if there are any typical hunting commands to see if there was any previous training.
Also would he, the dog be too old to train?
