U.S. Appeals Court In Chicago Again Upholds Laws Banning Assault Weapons

Hypothetical situation: Lets say the anti semi auto people finely win. All semi auto firearms are collected by the government and I mean all.
So now there are no semi auto guns to be had by anyone. So now those people bent on mass murder start using cars, trucks and the like.
Do you think the same people will call for a total ban on these vehicles and say public transportation is now your only choice?
Yes, and no. The people who want to ban cars are in cahoots with those who want to ban guns; their differences need to be exploited.

“Time to appeal this to the US Supreme Court.”

That’s not how it works.

In order for there to be the slightest chance the Supreme Court agrees to hear this or similar cases, another appellate court would need to rule that an AWB does violate the Second Amendment, creating a conflict between two appellate courts.

In theory this would ‘compel’ the Supreme Court to hear an AWB case to resolve the conflict.

As long as the lower courts remain in agreement that AWBs are not un-Constitutional, the Supreme Court will continue to refuse to hear AWB cases – as the High Court did in 2015 with this very measure.

ever wonder how much money the drug manufacturers make, they're willing to pay for TV advertising - which seems odd to me and always has, but they must sure make a ton to be able to pay to advertise to people who can't run out and get the product to try it. or can they?

orchestrated by the same people who brought heroin addiction to your neighborhood? town, county, state, and nation - as a rampant epidemic …

The gun industry started using the term "assault rifle" before the antigunners did. The term was a selling point for guns that vaguely resembled the original German "assault rifles" (intermediate cartridge, selective fire) of WW2. The antigunners simply took what the gun industry was putting out, and ran with it.

Tragic that we are the ones who started using it.

What I noticed in the caption below the picture is that it was from 2005. Nobody seemed to mention that in any other posts or did I miss that?

Events where politicians announce bans are good photo ops for other anti gun organizations. No matter the age. So a "scary" looking gun from 2005 is just as useful then as it is now to push the agenda.
