Uberti 1858 disassembly?

The latch that holds the ram to the underside of the barrel has a spring plunger in the end of it. I'm a little perplexed on how to get it out...

Never mind...I see it. There's a pin driven in from the bottom. It's almost invisible.

I hope you're not pulling that pin out just for cleaning. It's not meant to be upset and moved that often.

Dunk, swish, rinse, blow dry and hit it with some WD 40 then blow it out again to flush away any residual water. Then lube with whatever you are using for storing and protecting your BP guns.
