An effecient way to utilize space under the benchtop is with drawers, you can never have too much drawer space. Under one of my loading benches I had four drawers built and installed for loading dies, set on edge with labels up for quick indentification and retrieval. The inside measurements are 18X22X51/2" This way, with die boxes 10 across each drawer holds 40 sets with room to spare, totaling 160 dies sets conveniently stored, readily accessable, in only four drawers. Shallow, 3" top (see photo) drawers hold shell holders, measuring instruments and other small tools. Keep in mind that 40 sets of dies in a drawer is a heavy load, requiring strong construction and heavy duty ball bearing guides.
