Unbelievable deal on a pistol!

Admittedly, I don't own a .40. Never really liked the three that I had....a Sig P229, XD, and a CZ75B. That being said, I'll get one now as I see ammo and gun prices dropping rapidly. It's odd that as 9mm loads are being recognized as more and more effective, people tend to think there is a converse reaction with .45 and .40. 9mm kills deader now so .45 and .40 are no longer able to stop a threat. Goofy.

I think it's more like, why buy more expensive ammo and put up with lower capacity, heavier recoil, and slower splits when the 9mm is good enough?

Oh I don't disagree with that. Those are facts. But listen to the new breed of trainers out there and there is a mockery of the .40 and .45 as if it is less effective per round, which it is not. For the reasons you stated, I have no argument. I left the .40.

You have to jump on this stuff, it sells out fast! They list the HK P30 at $762, so that's a $262 savings.

I reload my 40 cal ammo, so cost really isn't an issue for me, 14 cents/round.

Congrats, great deal. I have seen some very low prices on quality guns during the last week.
I think there's going to be a lot more of this type of thing in the next several months. I think there are tons of people looking around after the election and wondering WHAT am I doing with so many guns??? Even if most of these people don't start selling some of their guns (some will), many of them won't be in the market for more guns or ammo in the near future unless prices become very attractive. The question is just how much of a buyer's market will it become?

Excellent analysis and thought provoking. Great Job.
