So for my birthday I told my dear old dad that I wanted a shoulder holster for my Beretta 92G. I was planning to buy one myself, but since it was around that time I went ahead and had him pick me one.
He sent me it in the mail; an Uncle Mike's Sidekick Vertical Shoulder Holster. Now here's the fun part; I'm almost 100% certain my dad has NEVER had a shoulder holster. I AM 100% certain that I, myself, have never worn one.
So he bought me one without a set of instructions on how to put it on. Fun fun. Well, I like a challenge, so I decided to give it a whirl. Now I'm used to seeing the style of shoulder holster that looks like it was made for dummies; you slip your left arm through hole A and your right arm through hole B, adjust straps, and presto. You're ready to go.
Now what I have here is something different. I tried to see if Uncle Mike's offered, on their website, instruction manuals through an online .pdf format. Nope. Strike one.
Next I tried to google around for it and all I got was some website with a grainy video of a guy in what looks like his mom's basement standing in front of a fleece camo blanket telling you how to 'concealed carry' but not how to actually put on a holster. Strike two.
Finally I tried the old-fashioned way; I looked at the sidekick shoulder holster picture to see if I could copy the end result...and then I realized that black piece between his shoulder blades looks completely different from what I have and, to top it off, one of the nylon straps looks twisted, so it may have been put together wrong (or maybe its right?) or been messed with. Strike three.
So can anybody help a guy out and tell me how you don this holster? I'll be trying a call to customer service but, honestly, given the difference between the holster I have and the one in the image I don't know how far that'll get me.
