@MR WICK - assuming your short range groups are ~1moa with that 22, and you’re holding all shots on that 12” gong at 300yrds, you’d have to be estimating wind within +/-1.5mph to stay within the edges of that target, which is exceptional, and obviously using some appropriate tools to measure velocity and calculate your waterline (~10.5ft of drop).

There’s a lot which can change between 300 and 1,000, especially if you don’t have enough scope or large enough targets to offer a similar target picture at 1,000, or if you have a dishonest range terrain which hides wind from the firing line, but estimating wind calls within +/-1.5-2mph with a 6 creed, shooting raw short range groups under 1moa (which almost any rifle should accomplish), you should be able to hold within the edges of a 24-30” target... like... today...

So it sounds like you just need to go shoot.

Thanks man. Appreciate it.

View attachment 1024048Will this shoot Creedmore too?
I had a range mate that had one chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor , with decent load development he shot 2''5/8 center to center 10 shots at 600 yards also centered up well for a good score that day. The rifle is capable, the tuning and shooting is up to you.
Savage model 12 LRP will get the job done also.

No. That is a magnum length action built to shoot 6.5 PRC, it will not shoot 6.5 Creedmoor.

Thank you. I didn't know if it was like a rifle that could shoot both 5.56 and 223. I was going to drive from Vegas to Arizona to pick it up. I'll keep looking because that's the rifle I want. I've spec'd it all out. They make a plethora of after market parts for it to. So as I progress I can advance the rifle. But I'm listening to you and going with the 6.5 round.

My dad and I were out today for a while....This is him behind his 6.5CM Bergara HMR Pro

My FFL buddy has one of those in .308 and we were up in the same spot shooting it a while ago, It was very easy to adjust and shoot.

I misunderstood his question, hopefully this thread will get locked and we never have to read this back and forth argument over stupid tit for tat talking points.
