So far the Uni sight pusher moved the sights on my Glock 17 and my Loaded Springfield 1911. I simply watched the dvd that came w/ the tool and then started moving sights. The Glock was first and didn't even put up a fight! Then on to the Springfield Novac sights....they were tuff but the uni came through w/ flying colors and I made the necessary adjustments. My only suggestion is if moving the sight to the right, loosen the sight to the left first then go to the right. Springfields are supposed to be a bear to move the sights, but my method seemed to work well. I read that the sights are put in left to right and the the cut is tighter on the right side of the novac/dove tail cut. My only 2 complaints that earned the uni a good instead of great rating is that the pusher did mar both the sights a little. I didn't perticularly care much since i am planning on gettting rid of both sets of sights and replacing but still you need to be carefull to have the pusher as close to the bottom of the sight as possible or damage can be done to the sight. Also watch the top of the slide in front of the pusher when moving 1911 sights because you could scrape the slide w/ the front of the pusher if you do not have enough clearance to go above the slide. The other observation is that when I got my uni it had some surface rust on it which I removed w/ my dremel tool. Great tool w/ some very minor issues. I think when I am putting on my new sights I will use small pieces of tape to protect the sight from dings from the pusher. All being said I am happy w/ my purchase. I figure it will have paid for itself when i replace the sights on my Glock and 1911...god only knows how many sights it will move/replace in the future! The Uni can also move front sights! :D

I just changed the rear sight on my Loaded Springfield w/ the uni tool and it did a great job! I did mar the original novac night sights a little w/ the uni tool but then learned a trick due to my mistake. I took small pieces of electric tape and put them on the pusher itself and on the side of the sight that the pusher is in contact with and didn't make even a scratch on the new sight. I also put some tape on the part of the slide that is held in the clamp to insure that the finish wasn't damaged which it wasn't. Overall I am very happy w/ the uni sight moving tool. ps...dont keep your uni tool in the pouch that it comes with since it doesnt breath at all and builds up a strange looking white powdery mold if it isn't kept in a well ventilated area...i ended up just throwing out the pouch and put the uni in the bottom of my gun cleaning tool box.
